regular things in France that are different from home...

1. fresh bread (baguettes) daily
2. cheese a part of most meals if you have money to eat that way..
3. Spicy goat cheese that burns your throat,, not like spicy food
4. small cars and small alley ways like you see in the pictures
5. cute fuzzy kitties hanging out of many windows and hanging out in the shops
6.Shutters on all the windows  - and the colors are always pastel blue, green, or lavendar
7. Snails everywhere and to eat too!
8. Wine at church, and not just for communion.
9. Not really a screen on a window in sight...
10. you can't really buy fresh (not froze) ground beef unless you want to spend a lot of money (shock gasp!! no hamburgers!! )
11. mmmmm, they NEVER serve just one dessert! Gotta love people that have that kind of mentality!!

So anyways,, that is all for now. I painted this sign for the base's welcome wall. I had all these ideas for it, but the wall proved to be quite bumpy and I lost inspiration. But, it does the job well. I hope they like it. For you non-Frenchies out there, It says 'Welcome to YWAM St.Paul', a 'trampoline or spring-board to the French-speaking world', 'our equippers, or our team' and the verbs along the bottom under the staff's pictures say- 'encourage' mobilize, train and act. So that is the call on the base. To equip the french speaking world with people that are following Christ and can raise up others to also follow Christ.
